Jack White doesn’t seem to like acting like a rock star on his own volition, so it makes sense that he should need collaborators to help bring his more badass self out. Good thing that legendary music video director Hype Williams has been making music dudes look smoove since days of Underoos, then. In “Freedom at 21,” the first team-up of artist and director, Williams encourages White to bring his swaggier side out, dressing him in a feathered leather jacket, letting him ride a neon-green motorcycle, having a Hot Cop send him to Hot Jail where he has Hot Guitar Solo Sex with a Hot Sideboobed Inmate, and giving him a Vanishing Point-style blaze of glory finale. (We assume so, anyway—what rock star would just stop at a police barricade? Fuck that.)

It’s a pretty good look for Jack White, all things considered. Maybe stick with Hype for a couple more videos, Jack—at least until Michel Gondry starts returning your calls again.
