Which Unfamous Person From a Very Famous Group is Kevin Durant Dating?

When you see the name “LeToya Luckett” trending on Twitter, you know it’s not because she released a new album or made a special appearance at a record store somewhere or something—in fact, if we had to bet, we’d probably put our money on “arrested” or “sex scandal.” Luckily for LeToya (TV SHOW TITLE ALERT), it’s actually for a far less negative reason that she’s trending today—she might have a new squeeze in the form of Oklahoma City Thunder forward (and general NBA superstar) Kevin Durant. The two were spotted dining together in Las Vegas recently, sending the internet into its typical monsoon of ‘shipping speculation.

Oh, by the way, in case you’ve forgotten—and you’d be more than forgiven for having done so—the reason why you should maybe recognize the name LeToya Luckett is because she was, once upon a time, an original remember of the biggest R&B group on the planet, Destiny’s Child, before Matthew Knowles decided to nix her while filming the “Say My Name” video. Today on the Child power rankings, she probably ranks somewhere above Farrah Franklin and LaTavia Roberson—she even had a solo Top 40 hit once—but well below The Other Michelle Williams, and of course the other two.

You might wonder why one of the NBA’s youngest, brightest talents would be canoodling with a decently older pop also-ran—after all, LeToya was booted from DC a full seven years before the 24-year-old Durant ever even played in his first pro hoops game. But considering that Durant’s even younger teammate James Harden has been rumored to be hooking up with 34-year-old “Here We Go” rapper Trina towards the end of last season, maybe those OKC boys just have a thing for the older hip-hop ladies. They always were weirdly mature for their age as hoopsters, you know?
