Rick Ross’s “Hold Me Back” isn’t exactly a good song, but it is a good Rick Ross song. (That distinction will either make absolutely no sense to you or make perfect sense.) It sounds like the music that plays during the rise of mythological beings that will kill you, and it sounds like at least three people involved in its production half-expected that they actually would summon something–if only their own badassery.
There’s really only one way to make a trailer out of this: a vaguely threatening, probably black-and-white lead-up to… well, since it’s a trailer, to nothing in particular. Below, we’ve put together a more-or-less accurate reconstruction of the trailer’s plot, such as it is. Imagine some ominous music playing as you scroll on, and you won’t be far off from the trailer itself. (That is also embedded below.)
